About us

Maison des Enfants de Marne la Vallée is a private, bilingual Montessori nursery school for children from the age of 2 until they start primary school. Its alternative approach to education sets it apart from traditional private schools.

Our approach

Learning through experience

Children are encouraged to play a full, active part in their learning, by making choices, exploring their interests and learning through concrete experiences. Our carefully prepared environment allows them to discover, experiment and develop practical skills, while respecting their needs and supporting them as they flourish.

Growing in independence and confidence

We help each child develop their independence, in their learning and in everyday tasks, while learning to know themselves better, to understand and manage their emotions and gradually to take responsibility for their choices and actions. Through everyday experiences, movement, relaxation and activities that encourage attention and concentration, children develop their self-confidence and the foundations for lasting learning.

Growing together

Learning is also about discovering how to live and grow with others. Within a mixed-age group, children learn to listen, cooperate and communicate, while developing empathy, kindness, tolerance, solidarity and respect. Alongside this social and emotional learning, they acquire essential skills in reading, writing and maths, in a rich, bilingual environment.
